Airton Cozzolino and Gollito Estredo have lots in common. Both are multi-talented, both are skilled at a number of watersports, both are World Champions and both were escaping the poverty of their hometowns, by following their dreams of success. Gollito, the fisherman´s son from El Yaque, is the Freestyle legend, but is also ripping with his Kite and SUP gear. Kite genius Airton Cozzolino from Cabo Verde rips the waves apart on his kiteboard, windsurfboard or SUP, at the highest possible level.
The trade winds kicked back in on the North Shore of Maui at Pe’ahi aka Jaws. Early morning continued with bombs from the day before that surfers like Shane Dorian, Ian Walsh, Francisco Porcella and others dared to ride. Later in the day the windsurfers and kite boarders came out to play in 30-40ft waves. Check more out at http://www.xensr.com
“World Champion”, “World Record holder”, “King of the Air”. . . kiter Jesse Richman has added a hefty stack of impressive titles to his belt over the years. Tireless in his mental and physical training, always pushing the limits, Jesse is as committed and fearless as they come.
Whether surfing 30-foot swells at Jaws (Peahi, Maui), kiting across the entire Great Barrier Reef and flying upwards of 60-feet on his Naish Torch, if something involves extreme kiting, you can be sure Jesse is there to meet the challenge head on.
Though he makes it all look easy, don’t be fooled; there is a substantial amount of planning and preparation involved to sustain the level of extreme sport athlete. Catch a glimpse of what it takes with this “day-in-the-life” footage—filmed by Xensr on Maui—while Jesse prepares for a major session at Jaws and trains for Red Bull King of the Air.

A new film in our maker series. Ben Harris is a traditional wooden boat builder based in Cornwall, UK.
This film documents Ben Harris’ love of wood work and boat building, how he acquired his skills, and how incredible it is to be able to take something that you’ve built with your own hands out onto the water and sail it across the sea.
Who is Ben Harris?
Ben has always loved wood. His mother said that his first word was ‘log’. He has been working with wood throughout the UK since the age of 15. First as an assistant to a cabinet maker, where he started by sharpening the tools and clearing up. He then developed his skills in furniture making and his passion for wood and forestry by working in broadleaf woodlands. Later he tuned his skills in bespoke oak-framed carpentry and went on to establish a sawmill and oak framing business in Scotland, sourcing timber from the local estates. In 2005 Ben moved to Cornwall to study boatbuilding. He has been building boats and sailing them ever since. http://www.benharrisboats.co.uk/
Shooting from timber to tide
We spent three days with Ben, staying with him in the idyllic handbuilt wooden cabin he lives in, in Constantine, Cornwall. When we arrived Wednesday, late afternoon, the plan was to make pumpkin soup and couldn’t believe our luck when we discovered the open fire cooking area in the garden. Within an hour after arriving we were already shooting some lovely material. The next day we covered the area around the house, the two workshops, the woods and recorded the voice-over. The real treat came on Friday morning when we took his self-built sailing yacht Alva out on Falmouth’s waters. First we covered the beautiful yacht from a motor boat with skipper Matthew Dale and dog Ruben, before we stepped on board ourselves and got close to the action. What a great experience.

Derry~Londonderry~Doire successfully recovers man overboard during the Clipper Round The World Race. This is not a Pro race and I am glad the crew knew their MOB techniques to save him. But this is a lesson of when you don’t follow the rules, you force your team to cover for you or in this case, rescue you.
He went over the side at 23.43 UTC last night in rough weather and was sighted again at 00.55 UTC before being recovered at approx. 01.13 UTC this morning (13.13 local time, 30 March).
A brief video introducing our new designs. For the new models we focused on interchangeability and quality.
We talk a little about each component, how you can combine them and how it comes together.
